happy! i fixed the blog so you can click on titles and actually see the post… not sure how I fixed it, but it’s working now. 🙂 yay
Muse and I continued through to Cairns and Gold Coast for the final leg of our Oz Adventure. Both of us were super sad to be leaving such a genuinely beautiful place filled with loving and caring people.
We stopped at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and then headed off to Natural Bridge near Nerang. The mood was happy but bummed out because it was the last day. Mick met us at Currumbin for lunch to say goodbye… it was hard to say it, so we said, “see you next week.”
Here are some photos… and one terribly adorable video. I’ll post more soon…
Back in LA – after falling asleep to OZ time – waking up 6PM LA Time realizing it’s 10AM OZ time, I’m going to have fun trying to reinstall my body clocks software. Hopefully it’s MAC friendly.
more later…
Snapshots
I tend to lack the presence of mind (or the handy camera) to capture snap shots, I tend to put down the camera at the end of the day and reach for a drink (or two?). I did grab a couple though…
This is our herald (well, her shadow) every night she entertained and informed us, here she did it whilst dressed 😉
The mad scientist – hand him his squid and watch him work a wonder…
By the gentle glow of her Macbook. Muse-ing.
Rei’s earing – Just looked so cool.
The chief – I know why he didn’t notice his feet were getting wet…
Oh wait, am I supposed to be posting model shots? The retouching on these critters is so much quicker.
Of course I know it did but I’m sure I’m not the only one that wishes it didn’t. Last week would have to be one of the best weeks of my life and I wish I didn’t have to wait a whole year to do it all again. Never before have I had the opportunity to work with so many amazing models in such a short time as well as socialise with both models and photographers and develop what I hope will be life long friendships with some very talented people.
A big thanks must go to Zoe and Michael Marlborough for organising this event. We all owe you big time! Thanks also to all the models I shot with as it was your special talents and collaborative efforts that helped me get some really amazing images.
I guess now it is all over I do have time to post some more images so here is a selection from my remaining shoots with Candace, Rebecca, Stephanie Anne, Vassanta, Muse, Madame Bink and Ivory Flame.
Keep in touch everyone, I miss all of you already!
Oh I was so proud of myself when I decided to bring film gear instead of digital for OZ . Rather then dragging a heavy bag with a bulky DSLR and lens halfway around the world I would simple bring a small bag containing my Leica M4-2 and check my Bronica SQA
I mean I only had four shoots lined up each lasting 2 hour’s so I thought surely 15 rolls of 35mm and 20 rolls of 120 film would be more then enough to last me through the week, but it wasn’t. So even after getting 10 rolls of 120 from one new friend I was left with one day of shooting and no film to shoot with. Of course this was only an issue for a very short time as a number friend’s old and new offered to let me a use some of their digital gear to get me through my last few shoots.
And of course as a bonus I have images to edit while I wait to get my film processed and scanned.
